Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV)
DMV's responsibilities include vehicle titling and registration, driver licensing and maintenance of driver and vehicle records. The agency also collects Virginia's fuel tax, monitors the state's trucking industry and serves as Virginia's Highway Safety Office. In addition, the agency effectively enforces motoring and transportation-related tax laws, and efficiently collects and distributes transportation-related revenues.
Division of Vital Records
The Division of Vital Records registers, maintains and provides certified copies for all births, deaths, marriages, and divorces which occur in Virginia. It is administered by the Virginia Department of Health (VDH).

Capitol Tours
The Virginia State Capitol was designed in 1785 by Thomas Jefferson with help from Charles-Louis Clérisseau while Jefferson was serving as U.S. Minister to France. The Virginia General Assembly occupied the Capitol in 1788 and members of the Virginia executive and judicial branches moved into the building in 1789. It is the first American State Capitol designed after the Revolutionary War and the first public building in the New World to be constructed in the form of a classical Roman temple.
